I am a Site Manager, but I dont have time to do projects like this myself. Therefore, I needed someone who I could trust to do the job without taking the mick. It helped that i had fleshed most of the design prior to starting the project which was an initial talking point. What works on a £40 million project is not the same as a £10k project. Anyways, I was willing to trust Jason`s experience on what materials were best value at the scale of our project. We agreed a price and a schedule of payments. note I did not request retention. I was quite happy with the agreed schedule of payments. Jason started the work in late December and worked through Christmas. Unfortunately, he had a pre-booked Holiday to South Africa which interrupted the end of the project, so it went on longer then expected. To be fair we had a lot of time spent in design development/price negotiations. I didnt actually see a lot of the build as it went along, but i had almost daily communication with Jason when he was very keen to achieve what I was looking for or requiring confirmation on how something would go etc. I got on with jason. He was very courteous to the tenants. He is honest and tries to give you what you want within the budget of course. Overall I am happy with the quality of workmanship. I would use him again.

I had a complete bathroom refit, with a separate toilet done to match. The work was carried out to a high standard and Paul and the team worked long hours every day and never left a part of the job half finished. They were early every day and worked throughout without taking lunch breaks. Paul and the team were extremely knowledgable during the refit and if a problem occurred, as they always do, they were quick to offer alternatives but never to the detriment of the job. I was extremely pleased with the final look of my bathroom and would willingly recommend Paul for further jobs.

I posted this job for my Mum, she had lost all enthusiasm to get her two storey extension finished so I took charge. Understandably given the first builder stole 22k (for which he was convicted) and left her with nothing. She had managed to scrape together the money to get the dry shell built bybabother builder but could not afford the quoted a ount to finish the internals. The immediate thing that needed doing was two walls knocking through from the existing house to the extension. After posting this job and inviting Lee he made contact with me that day, I passed my Mum's details to him and he contacted her and arranged to visit. He put my Mum at ease and quickly provided a quote. Lee was so reasonable that my Mum actually had him complete the remaining works including two walls knocking through, floor screeded, stud walls fitted, plastering and carpentry work. Lee was fantastic with my Mum the whole way through, communicating and sticking to every date/promise he made. The work is to a very high standard and all completed within the time frame set at the original VERY reasonable price. He often did little extras to help Mum as she is at home on her own Mon-Fri. My Mum wholeheartedly recommends Lee to anyone! I know if I need any work doing in he future I will be on the phone to him. Thank you Lee

Dale O'Reily and his assistant Charlie Prime of Broadway Carpentry & Prime Carpentry respectively were hired through Broadway Carpentry's interest in the project posted on My Builder. Their pace of work was good and the standard of work was fair. Their work needed overseeing as their experience is limited and neither could work from the drawings very well without help understanding them. However, despite being given an excellent opportunity, both tradesman chose to dishonour the agreement set out on commission payments for their labour. Charlie Prime owes me over £680 that he is refusing to pay despite numerous efforts on my part over the last year or so to recover the money. Dale decided to stop paying me the commission payments once I had left the job even though he continued to work on the project for several months after. As a result I was very disappointed in Dale and Charlie as they had real potential. They still have a lot to learn. Unfortunately I would not recommend these two tradesman as they do not stand by their word and a tradesman that cannot be fully trusted is a liability.

Tom plasters my son’s room .we were going to have whole room plastered but he advised not neccesary and that only part of room needed plastering he also made good the coving and kept us informed of what he was doing. Tom also tided up and took away any rubbish. Highly recommend him and we will certainly use him again . Very friendly say going
