I was in need of a quick roof inspection to make sure that the works carried out by another roofer were to a good standard. Shilhaad was very prompt to get back to me and had outstanding communication from quotation through to delivery. He was fair and impartial, turning around a report on the same day. He was very friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. Thanks to Shilhaad, I can go back to our initial roofers with some evidence on work that needs to be redone. Although they didn’t end up doing the work, their honest advice helped me realise that reinforcement wasn’t actually necessary for my situation. We took a longtime selecting our builder and so glad we chose Nero. Every builder must always think twice before working for architects on their own home! and Nero and his team worked diligently to meet our exacting standards with great communication throughout the whole process. We can't edit the original description of the works but we ended up completely refurbishing the whole of our ground floor, the rear elevation of the house, re-wiring, specialist lighting, re-plumbing, re-roofing, new front garden wall, victorian tiled garden path and external decking too. We also had a high quality parquet floor laid with new underfloor heating and each line of tiles was meticulously set out which looks fantastic!! Happy to recommend and give reference too.

Valter was very impressive on his initial visit with some exciting ideas for the house improvements and we had no hesitation in choosing Happy Building above the other two building firms who quoted. Having signed off on the budget and scope of work, Valter's team of builders arrived. We were hugely impressed with the skill, experience and work ethic of the team; the fact that they arrived early each morning smiling underlined the "Happy Building" epithet; Jarek, the site foreman, had an especially cheery demeanour. The work involved stripping the walls back to bricks, removing walls, reinforcing foundations, plastering, extending the bathroom and removing one bedroom to create a large ensuite bedroom. The latter certainly would not have been done without Valter's vision and patience in explaining how it would look. We were able to deviate from the original plans without any problem which was very important in achieving the final look which we had desired. Valter was very careful in sticking to time and budgets which I had never experienced before with builders. The kitchen, bathroom, two bedrooms, living room and hallways were finished to the highest possible specification within our budget. There were one or two small features which, with hindsight, we would have improved such as door handles and shower fittings, however this was down to us not specifying exactly what we wanted. These are very minor details and a tiny part of the overall picture.
