My name is mark I am currently 28 years old. I became a carpet fitter as my older brother is also one. I began helping him out/labouring when I left school about 10 years ago and we still work together today. We get the majority of our work out of a very reputable carpet and furniture shop in Hamilton and through said shop we have carried out jobs all over Scotland but mainly the Lanarkshire area. I have a vast knowledge of carpet and vinyl fitting but also after completing the course I have an advanced karndean fitting award which covered many aspects including floor preparation (eg screed/plywood) and the many aspects of lvt fitting. Although still working full-time with my brother I would like to carry out jobs myself in my free time to obtain more income and also add to my experience in order to eventually "be my own boss".
