Jordan was really knowledgable and took the time to assess the work without trying to get us to pay for extra things we might not need. “This is most likely to be the issue, start by fixing that and then only do other things if you need to”. He did the work to a high standard and came back to finish the mortar around the chimney when more of the old mortar than he’d expected came off initially- he even filled in some cracks around the chimney pots with the mortar he had left over which was really appreciated. He was also able to fit us in at the weekend meaning we didn’t have to wait long. The only improvement point would be around organisation and planning. On two occasions we were expecting him and he didn’t come (one was due to being called out to an emergency roof repair and the other due to forgetting)- he apologised profusely on both occasions but it would be worth using a calendar and reminders to avoid this in future. Otherwise we’re very happy with the work and no longer have a leak now that we have new flashing on our chimney so would recommend Jordan.Latest review:Roofing (Pitched)-The Gardeners

New builds, refurbs, landscaping, groundworks, home improvements, central heating, general plumbing. We have over 30 years experience on all manner of projects. Our aim is to create a company that is synonymous with quality and hard-work and to ensure communication and Customer Service is a priority.
I employed GWBS to undertake some renovation work. The building work was done to a reasonable standard. As extra work I decided on underfloor heating my wows began! I had issues with its installation they ignored manufacturers guidance. The floor was laid on an uneven floor but they had fallen out with the subcontractor and wanted me to chase the works to its completion. I had difficulty getting the work finished. So I refused a final invoice, of £450. Over a 3/4 month period I managed to find someone to finish the flooring.They did the best they could it's uneven in places and the heat isn't uniform. I still needed electrical sign off - I was chased for updates. I asked for them to stop harassing me, we agreed to accept the job as finish they would not contact me again. The subcontractor contacted me - the electrical checks were done. Having promised they wouldn't contact me, they did, asking for payment. I responded to the text, yes (mistake) but blocked their calls. A few months later they appeared at my house, I was at work. I contacted them immediately via email. They threatened me with debt collectors if I didn't pay that day. I offered a good will payment they refused I endured a day of emails, claims of letters said they sent, sighting recorded delivery, of out of context text messages. In fear of debt collectors, feeling under duress and stressed I paid them! The work I normally undertake is anything from general garden work Eg:Grass cutting,hedge cutting,pruning,and decking,fencing and all types of garden work I also do pressure washing,painting and decorating and can provide most handyman services.
Paul was friendly but I wasn’t happy with the end result. He has told me the reason because old paint was there previously, but I was not informed beforehand that it would look patchy. He has said he would come back but I will need to pay for the paint or reduce his cost.
