I have worked in the construction industry for over 20 years and specifically in woodworking for over 17 years. After completing a two year City&Guilds qualification in furniture making and installation I have worked for joinery and building companies covering all aspects of woodworking, both as an employee and on a self-employed basis. I have pretty much done everything from cutting in the roof carcass to fitting the floors and skirting, along with everything in between. I particularly enjoy 2nd fix work as that requires the most detailed work and is satisfying, but I am equally at home doing 1st fix work. I have been fortunate enough to work on some prestige projects, especially when I worked for a local building firm in the role of head carpenter and site supervisor.
