I am a City & Guilds Qualified Carpenter. I take on building jobs as well but mainly carpentry work. I have a lot of experience working on old and new properties covering all aspects of carpentry/building work. I have full public liability insurance. Recent projects have been a big extension with cut roof and large area of red cedar cladding on the front of the building. The project before that was building the wooden back to a 1958 Bedford Model O lorry in Ash and Oak.

Chris is fanatastic all round! Firstly he’s a fantastic communicator, which is rare nowadays. Chris is punctual every step of the way from surveying and quoting to completion of the job. I was immediately impressed by his spotlessly clean van and quality tools. Chris’ first impressions quickly shone through, he works meticulously and methodically executing perfection. Our little job had some awkward angles but Chris was not phased and made it look easy which I can assure you was not! He left the workplace clean and tidy every day. Chris is also amazing value for money, he works more than full days. Unlike most builder who will rock up at 9 and leave at 4, Chris starts at 8 and don’t leave till some days 7:30. Chris also does not book up more than three weeks worth of work, unlike others you won’t be waiting forever to get the job done! He lives up to the name of his company as he is a master of his craft. I recommend him highly, his number is firmly saved in my phone for future jobs! Forgot to mention he’s a really nice chap too! Lee

I had a very disappointing experience with this contractor. The flooring job I hired him for was never completed — more than half of the work was left undone. I paid him in full because I trusted him to finish the job as promised. I also purchased enough flooring materials to complete the project, but they were mismanaged and ended up not being enough. I ordered additional flooring, which arrived in September, and asked him to come back to finish the job. He said he would return in October, but after following up, he delayed again and said he wouldn’t be available until December or January. At that point, I asked for a refund so I could hire someone else to complete the flooring, but he refused, saying he understood how I felt but wouldn’t return the money and would only do the work when he “got the chance.” I’m extremely disappointed — I paid a large amount of money for a service that was never completed, and I’ve been left with an unfinished floor and unnecessary stress.
