even though he did a good job he only came once, run over my lawn mower lead and had to repair it, which took a while. he never returned any of my calls then when i did get hold of him he had cut his finger with a chain saw (supposedly) and was unable to come but if i hadn't rung a second time i would have been left with no one, so if you want someone who is unreliable then he's your guy.

Excellent service from Neil; hired to remove and replace 6 door frames and doors. Provided a quote and stuck to the time frames and left the house tidier than it was before starting the work! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and have neil working on installing fitted wardrobes, panelling and other bits around the house.

This guy showed an NHS application,with Geographic location of all the doors he fitted, show me photo's on his phone perfect fitted doors. Only when he came to do correct the fire doors, he was majorly insistent that i paid him for the two doors which i duely did. He then called me a further 2/3 times on same day insisting on Cash payment, so i had to pay double on the day prepaying for the next two doors as he was so insistent. I'm not sure he was drinking prior as there were smells from him. He arrived in a blue/ green van with a rhino sign on the roof rack. When i got an inspector to view the fire doors they were not satisfied with the level or quality of the work, and duely failed them. When i asked if i could pay 50% in 3/4 week for balustrading he became more insistent of pre-payment of first 50% , that he started slightly, goading me : give me payment now!.! prior to him starting We'll he cut up the balustrading on two floors, then had some work to do in London. Strange i 'm left 1 year later , with undue stress, balustrading down,fire doors not in good shape had to get in another carpenter in 3 weeks time.I am now running into 10/11 months after i hired him. Excited, enthusiastic and singing his praises is not quite what i have experienced. I'm sure he can do other things,skirtings, kitchens,to a level ,etc. He is alright, has quality tools, but this whole fire door thing has been a Saga/Stress. Maybe something got lost in translation as his English is very limited.
