Andrew built a media wall in our living room, including a faux chimney breast, floor-to-ceiling shelving and fitted cabinets. He also extended existing wall panelling in our converted garage where built-in units had previously been removed. The main carpentry work was good and the media wall was built as we had hoped. It feels solid, sturdy and well constructed. However, I was disappointed with the finishing work, particularly in the garage. Part of the agreement was to make the walls ready for decoration after the removal of units and electrical work, but the filling was rough, some filler came loose, and many areas had not been properly sanded. There were also noticeable gaps around the panelling and skirting, which remained untidy even after a return visit. The project was also not left particularly clean, with a significant amount of sawdust and debris remaining, especially in the garage. Overall, good construction work, but the finishing and details fell below expectations.

Happy with the end result. Project start/finish was delayed around 4-weeks. This was communicated as it occurred, recommend outlining expectations (we did not). While friendly and apologetic, the night prior meant we’d already packed up the kiddos rooms in anticipation of start. Given this was two custom, fitted wardrobes we understand COVID supplier issues, but felt this delay was expected a few days prior. Any issues we had, we scheduled amendable time for resolution or remedied ourselves as we considered it minor. We left all workmanship for him and remedied to our satisfaction. Overall: Pleasant builder and and happy with the end result

This was important because I live in an old house and each door that needed hanging was unique and presented its own challenges.
