Gary and Bryn have done a great job on our garage conversion and we are extremely pleased with the work they carried out. They ensured all structural work was completed to an excellent standard and they put in extra hours without complaint and free of charge where aspects of the job were more complex than anticipated. Each day they took care to tidy up after themselves. I received a number of quotes for this work and GB Refurbs’ was by far the most reasonable. All costs were transparent and fixed – there were no hidden extras as there can be with some builders. Aside from the quality of their work, Gary and Bryn are lovely guys and couldn’t do enough for me. While they were here they also carried out a couple of other odd jobs free of charge and without me even having to ask! I’m so impressed at the breadth of skills they have and will definitely use them for future jobs.

There was good communication when you were arriving or if there were delays due to traffic/ weather. There were fabulous short video’s keeping me updated with the ongoing work. Especially liked photo of chimney when done. Team worked hard and finished on time. Team kept as clean as possible, with protection of drains and floor. Very grateful for everything. Recommended.

Overall Azem was polite, experienced, professional, quoted a competitive price and completed the work to a high standard. While the job initially was thought to be simpler, he identified that the brickwork needed to be reinforced with stainless steel rods and resin due to the size of the crack, to reinstate the structural integrity. He was more than happy to explain what he was doing, show you what he was using and was able to work in a confined back bedroom attic space without having to alter the tight, awkward access hatch. Also the replastering work completed to the walls below the attic space resulted in a high quality finish with all areas left clean and tidy. Would recommend his services and call on them again if needed in the future.
