John and his colleague were very clean and tidy workers. I was consulted on each stage of the work. They worked right through the day without stopping for lunch and finished the job ahead of schedule. When they left, my house was left clean and tidy and all debris was removed. Definitely would recommend and will use them again. Thank you guys.

Hire with confidence. I wish I could find the words to express just how happy we are with the work done by Romaio and Eugene, we can't recommend them highly enough. Our flat is a very old property that was originally 2 flats and any work done on it always meets problems, any difficulties were addressed in a positive manner with positive results. We were given our quote but warned that should the job may mean that our shower would have to be removed and replaced at extra cost. As soon as it was realised that the work on the shower would have to be done we were told just how much it would be (still a very reasonable price) and this was the final price we paid. Romaio was very patient with me when I asked for an extra couple of bits to be done, he also suggested a couple of improvements on my ideas and, as it turned out, he was right. The guys arrived each morning then just worked right through and I mean worked hard. Both were very pleasant and tidied up behind them.

Windows & Doors (uPVC & Metal)- 28 Apr 2025
Very pleased with our new sliding patio door. Alan came out promptly upon me making enquiries. I received a quote that week through the post with a pack outlining everyone that was allowed for in detail and reviews so I felt confident accepting the quote. Not long after accepting a measure was taken and soon after Davie with his install team came and fitted for me over 2 days with minimal disruption and kept me up to date before and during the process. All in all a pain free and professional service and very pleased with the quality and finish. Would recommend and contact again for any further work required.

Bathroom Fitting- 21 Jun 2017
Craig and Scott did amazing job for our new shower room. We love the new shower Craig built for us. He is very patient and helpful. He always help clients to meet their needs even the tasks maybe very tedious or difficult, for example he managed to help us to re-use our old shower door, which is very difficult and tedious task. But he still try his best to help us to re-use the shower door. Moreover he even cleaned our old shower door which covers many silicone, he made the shower door looks very new. He also gives many great suggestions on how the shower room may look nicer, for example he suggested more lighting in our shower room, he also suggested us to use grey grout to go with our dark tiles. Which are all great suggestions. He also fixed many small issues for us, such as fixing our noise floor outside the shower room, fixed the loosen toilet seat, fixed the extractor fan etc. And he didn't even ask for extra money. Craig Wilson is highly recommended. We will definitely use C W Property Services again.

What to ask a bathroom fitter in Prestonpans before hiring?

Before hiring a bathroom installation company in Prestonpans, ask a few key questions to ensure you’re choosing the right professional for your job.

How long have you been fitting bathrooms in Prestonpans, and what qualifications do you hold?

Bathroom fitters in Prestonpans will be able to explain their experience and any trade qualifications, such as NVQs in plumbing or construction. Membership of recognised trade bodies (like the CIPHE or the Federation of Master Builders) is also a good sign of professionalism. Check out our hiring guide for more information on how to hire a bathroom fitter.

Can you help with design and layout advice?

Some bathroom fitters in Prestonpans offer design support, helping you plan the layout, select fixtures, and make the most of your space. Clarify whether this is included or an additional service.

Can you show me examples of similar bathroom projects you’ve completed in Prestonpans?

Ask to see photos or examples of past projects, especially ones similar to yours in size and style. A local bathroom fitter in Prestonpans will understand the typical layouts, water pressure issues, and building regulations in your area. Checking reviews or feedback from nearby customers on MyBuilder also helps you confirm the quality of their workmanship.

How long will the bathroom installation take, and when can you start?

Project timelines can vary depending on the scope of the work. A full bathroom renovation in Prestonpans might take 1 to 2 weeks, while replacing a few fixtures could be completed in a few days. Discuss start dates, estimated completion times, and how long your bathroom will be out of use, so you can plan accordingly.

Do you offer a guarantee or warranty on your work?

Most bathroom fitters in Prestonpans will guarantee their workmanship for at least 6 to 12 months. This gives you peace of mind that any problems with the installation will be corrected. Also check whether the materials or fixtures they install come with manufacturer warranties, which can extend your protection further.

FAQ: Common questions about bathroom fitters in Prestonpans

Do bathroom fitters in Prestonpans handle plumbing and electrical work?

Many bathroom fitters in Prestonpans are trained to carry out basic plumbing and electrical work, such as installing new taps, showers, and lighting. However, for more complex tasks, like moving pipework or rewiring, they may work with plumbers or electricians. Always check that anyone carrying out electrical work is registered with a competent person scheme such as NICEIC or NAPIT.

Will a bathroom fitter dispose of old fittings and materials?

Most bathroom fitters in Prestonpans will include the removal and disposal of old fixtures, tiles, and debris as part of their service, but it’s best to confirm this when getting your quote. If waste disposal isn’t included, they can usually arrange it for an additional fee.

Do I need planning permission for a bathroom fitter in Prestonpans to renovate my bathroom?

In most cases, you don’t need planning permission for a bathroom fitter in Prestonpans to renovate or replace a bathroom, as it’s considered internal work. However, if you’re adding a new bathroom where there wasn’t one before, or your property is a listed building, you may need approval. Your fitter can advise you or direct you to your local council’s building control team.
