Needed our new kitchen worktops and wall cupboard fitted as well as a new piece of worktop added where there wasn’t any after being let down by several companies and being given ridiculous prices. GT Construction contacted me about my job and came to quote me the next day, they were able to fit me in quickly and got the job done to a high standard and at a very fair price. This was a complicated bathroom which we had designed and sourced a lot of the materials for. Dan and his team were good to have around, tidy and courteous. THe following, however is offered as constructive feedback: We did experience a lack of clarity and communication at times and not everything went to plan. Whilst this isn't uncommon, we didn't think Dan always understood what we wanted or gave us sufficient advice on material deadlines. However the end result was good and we are really enjoying the new bathroom. At the end of the job, several promises were made about coming back to finish small things off, including changing a radiator in our daughters room and most important fixing and routing an expansion pipe from a hot water cylinder (which DC Heating had not put in). This was not on the original spec, but had been requested by us at an early stage in the project. In the end DC Heating declined to do anything that wasn't in the original spec, so anyone reading this needs to be aware of the importance, with this firm at least, at getting everything 100% right in the original spec and quote supplied and clarity over costings of any changes and/or extras.

We hired Tony to replace a shower tray and pivot door for £975. While the tray was fitted okay, the shower door installation was completely unacceptable.The door was fitted completely unaligned (1 inch from the tray edge on one side, 2 inches on the other). Tony left out vital manufacturers' parts, failing to screw the frame or extension piece to the wall, relying entirely on silicone. When challenged, he claimed drilling the tiles would crack them and attempted to make us sign a liability waiver.After we refused and insisted on manufacturer standards, Tony claimed he had injured his back and sent his "top worker" to fix it. The worker arrived with no knowledge of the job, no silicone, and no tile drill bits. He openly admitted to my husband that he is not a bathroom fitter at all, but a window tinter who helps Tony out.While the door has now finally been screwed to the wall using the correct drill bits, the silicone finish is incredibly sloppy. Not what i expect from a professional
