Alan met all my expectations of a skilled professional. Alan fully discussed the job over the phone. He arrived promptly on the day, and was friendly and courteous. He advised me on choices to replace my old shower and checked if it was in stock locally. He fixed the flush and fitted the new shower and cleaned up afterwards. We agreed on a date for him to return and replace the cracked sink and advised me on the size and choices of replacement units to consider when purchasing. Nothing negative to say. There is nothing more satisfying than walking away from a good job with a very happy customer. In my time building I have completed several extentions, both single and double story, renovation projects, which involved complete internal gutting and refitting, loft conversions and more bathroom and kitchen fits than I can recall.
Jeff and the boys at holistic building solutions turned out to be a bit of a god send. Jeff made contact quickly after I shortlisted him and arranged to come and look at my "little job"....The day before he was due to arrive we came home to find a mini lake on our kitchen floor, two ceilings ruinied and a pretty terrifying amount of water flowing through our light fittings. After an evening of cleaning and worrying I messaged Jeff to cancel our appointment. He called straight back and offered to come round to assess the damage and offer any help he could. This is where the magic happened, from the second Jeff walked in he immediately made me feel calm and reassured me that things were not to bad and helped me out talking with the insurance company. A settlement figure was quickly arranged and From then on Jeff the boys worked tirelessly to fix my plumbing, replaster ceilings and walls, strip up and relay a new kitchen floor and new bedroom carpet, fit new lights and decorate. Basically they put my house back together, quickly professionally kept me informed and at ease. The first job Homefix completed for us was to a good standard. Unfortunately the same cannot be said of a second job involving installation of a bathroom suite. Homefix overcharged significantly on their materials quote and tried to fob us off with supplying a bathroom 'suite' comprising completely different styles and colours. We attempted to negotiate with Homefix but their unwillingness to accept responsibility or indeed justify their inflated material costs resulted in them leaving the job unfinished. Engaging an alternative tradesman to complete the work highlighted a number of issues with Homefix installation which necessitated remedial work at additional costs to ourselves.
