I have 20 yrs site experience ranging from groundworks, plumbing and carpentry. I have been site manager and foreman many times and now my full time job is a college tutor in formwork carpentry. I am looking to my builder for extra weekend work, small jobs. I have been taking on small garden builds like sheds, summer houses, patios, decking and artificial grass. I do garden maintenance, handyman jobs inside as well as painting and decorating.

DO NOT HIRE! Adam provided me with a very cheap quotation, perhaps a little too cheap in hindsight. He arrived promptly and I was advised when he had finished the work. Upon inspection, I found many points I needed to bring to his attention. I asked for a herringbone pattern which was not followed, his silicone work looked like he'd used the back of a buckled spoon, cutting off tiles left a lot to be desired, uneven tiling and the plastered wall was not primed before he started to lay tiles. He also managed to damage the plug sockets I had newly installed. This left me in tears, I had just paid thousands for a new kitchen! After several conversations and sending pictures to him, he agreed to rectify the problems, but in my view, there were too many issues to let this man back into my house. The circle of trust was well and truly broken. He even admitted the the job "wasn't the best"! After consulting with a family member, who contacted Adam, we reached an agreement on a settlement, though accepting less than the damages caused. This man should not be able to even mention that he can tile and he even admitted he is not a tiler and is a handyman and should of hired a professional! I have contacted My Builder to see if he can be removed from this platform, considering this place is to hire professionals, is it not? Poorest tiling workmanship I've ever experienced, stay away from this man to do your work....as he isn't a professional!
