My journey went like this on my builder. 1st decorator booked to assess the work and didn't show up with no explanation given. The 2nd decorator arrived on time to assess the work and left me feeling doubtful so I declined. The 3rd decorator named Gary arrived on time. Was very attentive and informative around the work what had to be done, touching the walls and ceiling whilst assessing. I was confident that decorator no.3 "Gary" was the person for the job. The morning for the work to start Gary arrived promptly and rearing to go. The work was carried out professionally and Gary took pride in his work and enjoyed admiring his work of art more so pleasing the customer. The work was completed in the time frame Gary set. The walls, skirting, door frame, windowsill and radiators all have the look I envisioned. Gary employed a act of effciency, respect and transparency. I reccommend Gary 100%. Tip Gary cleans up nicely when the work is done.

We now have our ideal bathroom! Cannot recommend Andrew highly enough. He is incredibly well skilled when it comes to bathrooms and he always goes the extra mile. At the beginning we did not know what we wanted but listened to his advice such as on tiles, wall colour, and shower fittings and we are very glad we did. During the project he will delegate tasks such as tiling, carpentry, electrics, windows. Whatever you are after, to a highly skilled craftsman he knows well. While he does what he's best at, such as the plumbing, sealant and grouting. If any problems come along he will push through, sometimes working incredibly long days to get the job done and well. Andrew also did other jobs around the house, such as filling up cracks in our windor frame without extra charge. If there are additional jobs you request which require significant work or materials, he will give you a fair price. Best thing of all is Andrews attitude, always positive and makes sure its completed well.

I wish I took the negative comments more seriously before hiring Edi for my bathroom but he downplayed them very well, promised a great quality of job plus the pictures on his profile showed jobs properly done so I trusted him. What a mistake! I had exactly the same problems as described in the previous negative feedback. Basic errors with laying the tiles – not only uneven lines but also wrongly cut tiles that left plenty of gaps (he even covered one of the gaps between the wall and floor with a sealant!, others with too thick layers of adhesive or grout, which just look awful). He wasted many tiles unnecessarily too and wasn’t even able to apply the grout correctly; missing many tiles, creating lumps and failing to clean the grout from the tiles after application causing their discolouration! Not to mention plumbing problems – leak that gets fixed only for a couple of hours and then returns. The quality of job is of an amateur, not a professional. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be an option to attach images to the feedback - I have plenty of them so please contact me before thinking about working with this person. He promised to correct the errors but I'm still waiting for this to be done nearly three weeks after the job was apparently finished. He is also avoiding contact. I hope MyBuilder will take relevant steps. My advice is – spare yourself the unnecessary stress and wasted money and HIRE SOMEONE ELSE!

As per the previous reviewer I don't usually hire tradesmen when there is only limited feedback, but given the glowing report I took the risk. And it proved to be a great decision. Astrit was great - clear communication, arrived when he said he would, sought our opinions on the key decisions and gave some great advice, before ultimately doing a great job for a reasonable price. My family and I are so happy with Jose’s work! The tiles look amazing! We looked at several builders but Jose came out on top. He communicated well throughout the process. He was very clear about how much the job would cost and how long it would take. He came on time and he worked very well, very hard and was very clean and tidy. Jose is a lovely, friendly person, too, and very easy to be around as he worked in the house. He even did an extra job for us, too (also at a good price), which made the bathroom look even better and he went out of his way to make sure that everything was completed to our satisfaction. His pricing is extremely fair. I can’t say enough good things about Jose, and I highly recommend him to other customers, who are looking for good workmanship at a good price. This was a bit complicated project because it’s a listed house. Elvis and his team were hardworking, always responsive and came up with great solutions when necessary.
