He came to sweep the chimney as use of the gas fire had been classed as dangerous. Efficiently, and with explanations. I still do not completely understand how to resolve the remaining problems but will phone him later today to try and understand better. He was in a hurry to leave as he had another appointment. The room still smelled of dust but I imagine that is normal after a chimney is swept and it should clear soon with all windows and doors to the outside left open. I consider the price he charged very reasonable.
