Stone Carver & Mason I set out masonry and tracery by hand, using full-size drawings in the traditional fashion. This allows me to properly understand the construction and character of a window before undertaking its repair. Pointing and mortar repairs are carried out using traditional lime mortars, including both hydraulic lime and lime putty, selected according to the requirements of the fabric. I have worked on many of Britain’s major historic buildings, including Westminster Abbey and Westminster Cathedral. My work includes the replication and repair of architectural ornament and sculpture, as well as conservation and restoration. This has included the restoration of Shakespeare’s statue in Leicester Square and extensive work for the Crown Estate.
