Carl coordinated all of the different people who needed to come in (joiner, plumber, plasterer, painter, etc., etc.) brilliantly such that the vast majority of the work was done within only 10 days. He has a team of very high quality tradespeople, and they each did an excellent job and were respectful of our home, making sure to clean up after themselves. Carl was always in good communication with us, keeping us up-to-date with the project status and plans. There were a couple of issues that arose, but we communicated these to Carl who took care of everything and made sure that they were resolved, which we very much appreciated. He came in with a competitive price and he gave us a positive feeling that he would be able to complete the job on time and to the required standard. Phil and his small team started the job when promised and completed the work within the time they said. All the work done was to a very high standard and they left the job each day clearing up after them selves. Get in touchIn spite of some poor weather the new boundary wall was completed within the predicted time frame with a very attractive result. We are very pleased to have this permanent replacement for the old fencing panels which restores the continuity of the boundary between neighbours. (I'm sure they are equally happy to have their enclosure back). Rating: 5 out of 5 55116 reviewsGet in touchHaving used Harvey for several carpenter jobs in the past, Harvey put himself forward to manage this project In the end I had to stop Harvey from working for the following reasons 1. The project ran months over the initial time. 2. It was reported by other tradesmen that Harvey was arriving late/leaving early on a regular basis, he was being paid a daily rate and charged for full days without fail. 3. It was reported when on site a lot of time not working, on the phone dealing with other clients, etc 4. Not a single job was completed from a carpentry perspective, ie doors hung poorly, skirting boards not complete, stairs not complete, bath boarded up with waste pipe to bath not fitted causing it to flood, guttering fitted did not flow properly and was not finished. 5. Harvey was unable to manage the project effectively There were many issues which in the last few months I had to deal with, including Harveys son who was assigned to install the plumbing/heating services. The plumbing/heating services were never completed and I have had to assign another tradesman to complete all the above tasks and to finish off many other items, all of which I have evidenced through photographs. Given the poor standard of work overall I would not recommend Harvey for any project of a similar size. We needed a shower cubicle and a kitchen island put in among other things. He finished both on time and they have turned out exactly like we wanted .He was also able to give us the right contacts for some flooring work and valuable advice on the best place to shop for our requirements. Get in touchWe asked Garry of GDS Plastering Services to help us with some reconfiguration and major internal plastering work and he has been superb. Garry contacted us the day the job was posted and came round to quote within 48 hours. We are so happy with the work done by both Garry and Rob, which was done in the timeframe agreed - they even split the job in two stages for us (which we were sure was inconvenient for them) because we had to get some plumbing work done in between. As the job progressed there was a little bit of extra plastering which was not within the original spec but Garry happily did this for us at a nominal additional cost. Great work, done as quoted and really lovely chaps too; a pleasure to have them here helping us so much so that we've already booked them for the new year to do our outside rendering.
