Because of the appalling level of work provided by this contractor and his disgraceful attitude towards us as clients, an independent surveyor was appointed to arbitrate on the matter. The contract was ultimately terminated and the work required to correct the considerable mistakes made, was undertaken by skilled tradesmen under the supervision of the independent surveyor. The works came to more than the amount owed, but we decided we wanted no further contact with this company or its representatives and did not pursue the amount. Today, even though the distress caused was so considerable we decided to sell the property and move on, they are claiming an amount of money not owed, from us via a no collection no fee debt collector. The independent report clearly states the amount owed to us and the standard of the work supplied. The errors made included having to strip the new roof installed and employ a company to re-instate it. The under floor heating was in incorrectly zoned. The driveway had to be replaced due to the damage caused. The tiles throughout the house were not laid using the correct materials for underfloor heating and had to be lifted and replaced following a 'botched' attempt to repair the damage. Even then, appalling workmanship meant more cost was incurred to correct matters by skilled tradespeople and compromise on our part accepted. The full list of issues encountered, not least his threatening manner, are too lengthy to list.

This company did amazing work from start to finish.. was very hard working and had great communication the entire time from quote to completion (even vacuumed all up for me and put protection down on my carpets) Honestly could not recommend them enough wish I had found them for my homes before but definitely a number I will be saving for any future work I need doing. Excellent service from start to finish! I originally hired him to mount my TV, and the quality of his work was so good that I also had him install my bathroom shower and take care of the plumbing. Had 2 external doors fitted, verander roof cleaned off and some guttering for rainfall on front of verander. On day of job team of 2 were here 8 hours, fitted doors that we didn't choose. We inspected afterwards and strike plates didn't align with latches and locks and guttering wasn't wide enough to catch rainfall. Evidence sent and they returned to correct doors which only improved slightly and came again a third time to fit new guttering. A few months on and both doors latches were catching on strike plates. Now just over 7 months on and the guttering is OK but one of the locks on doors has broken which we now cannot open at all, the other doors lock is difficult to open and close, the door handles are rusting and the doors are splitting despite us painting them in the paint recommended. We hired S.E.M. based on previous reviews but we paid £1800 for the work and we don't think it was up to standard. Update Jan 2025 - Door handle snapped clean off, lasted less than 12 months.
