We had major works done by William Bennett, renovating the entire downstairs floor of our home, extending and turning some of the footprint into a separate annex/living space. All in all the work took 5 months to complete (during winter months and with a short break for Christmas and New Year included). The team of guys we had on site were professional, friendly and hard-working - they were on site pretty much 6 days a week and considering our family had to remain in the house throughout the build (essentially living in the upstairs floors) we couldn't have asked for a better group to practically live with for such an extended period of time. Josh in particular was great to work with. We dealt with him from day one - from quote to completion - and always felt he 'looked after us' keeping us up to date with progress, the (inevitable and unforeseen) set backs involved in the renovation of an old property and he took great care of our home and family. After previous bad experience with other builders we had particularly high standards when it came to the build and were trusting William Bennett with a significant investment (both financially and emotionally) to build us our 'forever home'. We would absolutely recommend them to others.

I initially invited this company to quote for structural work following poor workmanship by someone else a few years ago. I was so worried about having workmen in my house again but from my first meeting with Josh and then James I felt comfortable with them. They organised for a structural engineer to attend which put my mind at rest and we went from there. I was pleased with their quote so asked them to carry out other work as well. The lads who carried out all the work were lovely, polite and hardworking; in fact, they were a pleasure to have in my house for three weeks. Everyone arrived on time every morning and they all got on with it. They ensure everything is covered and at the end of the day they leave everything tidy. Josh kept me in the picture at all times but to be honest, I felt I could just let them get on with the job. At times I had to go out but I certainly wasn’t worried about leaving them. I’ve spent what to me is a large amount of money for very good workmanship but most of all, for the peace of mind so thank you to all of you. I’m glad I found this company on this website and shall use them again. Ps If you should employ this firm, please make the lads a drink now and then and give them the odd chocolate biscuit.

Firstly it’s not the easiest decision to make to appoint and allow total strangers to your property. Well the internet now has allowed us to research the tradesman and I have to say I feel it is absolutely necessary to let people know via the internet about my experience and how satisfied we are with the finished job. After months of debating whether to actually do anything we had the pleasure of finding William Bennett Construction via Mybuilder.com and meeting with a gentleman called Josh, he was fantastic and quite frankly the reason we decided to go ahead. The quote was back to us in no time and you had the real sense that Josh new what he was talking about and he genuinely gave us confidence in using William Bennett. Work began in no time at all and we had the next pleasure of meeting the owner (Bill) and the onsite project manager named Luke, who again I have to give a special mention as his communication and day to day updates were outstanding. The whole team were tidy, respectful to the neighbours, very helpful and above all honest. I did delay my review as I wanted the excitement to settle and re-evaluate the job they had done several weeks earlier. Well I am just as pleased as I was when they finished, which was completed on the timescale they gave me, even with the cold weather. Great service and price. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Had extention built over garage and the tradesmen were second to none. Had 2 project managers Josh & LUKE who took over the daily running whilst Josh was on holiday. Luke managed to organise his team perfectly and finished the job whilst we were away. Josh did the initial organising and both were only a phone call away if we needed anything or had any questions. We were so pleased with the work that we had them put a proper roof on our conservatory which they did to a high standard. Would recomend this company to anyone that needed anything doing. Well done lads and thank you.

Very satisfied with Josh and his team. He was very helpful throughout and easy to deal with. We agreed what needed doing and josh measured up. He made suggestions regarding the job e.g. Drains, covers, edging. I got the distinct impression he was someone who could be trusted. Quote came within 24 hours and price agreed. They started work almost immediately and had new paths done very quickly. We agreed he would do extra work clearing garden and removing old decking and again this was done very quickly and professionally as was final snagging. Can't fault them would not hesitate to use them again.

Very pleased on all aspects. Quoted quickly and efficiently. Came when said and all the staff were polite and I felt confident to leave them when I had to go out. Despite needing various trades it was all coordinated efficiently. The finished job was just as I wanted.
