Repoint the gable end.
Originally I gave this a positive review, but 11 months later I removed the rating after zooming in on the top of the gable end with my video camera and viewing the pointing there. I am giving it a negative rating, but its probably neutral. My house was built in 1910 and other than a slight bit of patching the other half of the lime pointing on the house is still OK. Chris did come back and improve a little on the pointing at the top end of the gable end, but I know he was here a few hours at the most and only used a ladder and not scaffolding. Only time will tell if the pointing is going to last, but I do have concerns about the depth of the tuck pointing and the lime/sand mixture. Chris repointed the front and gable end of the property.
Answer from tradesperson:
Hi Tim There was nothing wrong with the pointing as it’s been grindered out to dept of 25 mm and repointed with lime nhl 3.5 4/1 mix which is more than adequate none as fell out or missing and it was a solid job I have pictures to prove plus I’ve had 3 more jobs off the work in the area all with happy customers not sure why it took you 11 months to look at the work all the best regards Chris
