Total Roofing were more than capable of cutting out and replacing my 3 lengths of fascia and did a reasonable job. However, they cut corners in not using a tower which is what they had said they would use for one section and proceeded to put two ladders in a footpath at the side of the house instead as access, all without the requisite permission from the local authority. Using ladders also meant that this section of fascia did not quite fit and they only resolved the ill fitting joint with wood filler. In addition, when installing this section of fascia, they had to remove two sections of mortar infill between the underside of the tiles and the undercloak and when reinstating this, instead of doing so with fresh mortar, they just reinserted the old hardened mortar fill they had removed. There is therefore two lumps of loose mortar at roof level that may easily be dislodged during the first gales this autumn. In painting the new fascias, they did not prime at all and applied both undercoat and gloss coats no more than 2-3 hours apart. Furthermore, they just plugged into our power socket instead of using their own power generator and put up an advertising board at the front of the property without even asking if this was okay. At the end, they cleared most of the rubbish generated but were not meticulous and we needed to sweep up all areas after as they did not appear to have a broom with them
