James and his team did a good job in laying turf. Turned up on time and tidied up after them. Also he gave good advice on lawn maintenance.

James was very knowledgable when he came round to do a quote for this job. Managed to get the job done within a couple of weeks and the end result looks fantastic! Review left on 28 Apr 2015Rating: 5 out of 5Remove existing paving and retaining wall at rear of property. Dig out approx 16m³ of soil to extend patio towards the back of the garden and remove. Replace with new paving and retaining wall (I didn't construct the wall on this occasion as it is a dry stone wall). Laid approx 60m² of paving at rear and extending around both sides of the property. Remove old boundary fence and replace with new 1.2m rising to 1.8m fence approx 14m in length. Remove paving and gravel from driveway and remove. Break out concrete ramp at garage entrance and lay out new paving for driveway and cover the rest of the area with Scottish Pebbles. Knock down steps and landing at front door and replace with new brickwork to match the existing house brick and pave with 50mm thick buff paving to match driveway. Remove railings for steps to paint and reinstall.
James has carried out a variety of jobs for us over the years including erecting garden fences, moving a garden shed, laying a new patio and driveway, edging a lawn area in brick and constructing new front steps to our house. We have always found he is happy to spend time discussing project details prior to submitting his quotes and we have always found these quotes very competitive. All work is finished to a very high standard and, on top of this, James always guarantees his completed work. Over the years we have only encountered a couple of minor snags and James responded to, and rectified, these very quickly. James is a very friendly and extremely skilled tradesman and takes great care, and obvious pride, in his work. We have no hesitation in recommending him.
