    Ceiling and walls
    OMG where to start. Ok I have pictures and texts for everything I am saying just so you know I am being honest. The job was for a fixed price for a high quality finish to repair damage to walls and the floor after floods. so even though I paid him for the so called completed plastering the finish varies from very good to terrible. There are lumps of plaster on doors and walls as he does not clean up. Not all the work was even done. He then lied about skirting boards and said I could not get the same hight. 5 min later I had googled skirting boards and hay yes you can. He then went to fit the hard wood floor . OMG did not clean the old glue off. did not fill holes in the floor. used the wrong amount of glue ( I had to send him a pic of the glue tub to show him this) did not put a membrane down etc. He then had the cheek to ask for more money! his bill went up by over 250 quid and got abusive ( have the texts to prove it) and I am left with a half finished house and a terrible floor that was a waste over over £1200 due to his bad workmanship. AVOID at all costs. Oh and just to be clear I have pictures and texts on this to prove that what I am saying is true.

    Answer from tradesperson:

    A small bubble appeared in the ceiling due to previous work (not mine), customer was happy for it to be fixed when dry. I was paid for the work. He then asked if I could fit a wooden floor when he was on holiday & he would measure, supply materials & remove furniture. Customer didn’t remove furniture & didn’t order glue, so I had to. I had to contact him again as not enough wood had been ordered, he was aggressive & told me to stop work till his return. I took my tools, tidied up, took pictures of the work & contacted MyBuilder, taken aback by his behaviour. When he got back he said he would not pay for the work or glue. I offered to return, but he declined. The work done was of a high standard. Please read my 120 positive reviews.

    bedroom skimming
    William was very nice but the finish wasn't too great is areas. The tape is still visible on parts of walls. I had removed the ceiling rose so he could plaster smoothly but william covered right into the wire therefore covering screwholes for putting my light back up. I had to make a few attempts b4 finding holes. Luckily enough the rose covers them. I'm not sure what happened to my hall plug socket but after william removed his radio I struggle to get my plugs in and out. The prong at the top has been pushed in.

    Hi Leslayann Im sorry to hear you had issues with the job i done months ago.The ceiling rose was still attached to the the cable and very little spare cable to move or get my trowel in properly. Im not sure about the socket as it did stick when i put my radio in but i would happily replace it for you. The tape showing on the wall is something i may have missed due to trying to move a double wardrobe alone around the room that was supposed to be removed but i appolgise and would happily address the issue. I did try and call as well as sent a txt to do a follow up as i do on all jobs to check if you where happy with the job. Unfortunately you didnt answer either and I assumed you where happy.     plaster work

    Ours was a nightmare job but William handled it very professionally. He carried out the job in good time, worked very hard to get it completed in the time he first mentioned. We were very pleased and would use him again and would certainly recommend him to family and friends. A job well done.

    Total refurbishment of a living room.
    My living room was in need of a complete revamp and William came to do,what was a big job. He was very thorough, clean, tidy and the job has been done to a very high standard. I now have a living room which is a pleasure to sit in. Thank you William. I would definitely recommend Smooth Finish if you are looking for a job well done and I intend to have more work done in the near future.

    plaster ceiling and walls

    William's work was fantastic his work was of a high standard. William had a tough job to do for me as we discovered my walls were very uneven being an old house but William still tackled this problem and I am so happy with what he has done nothing was an issue for him . William was also very tidy there was very little mess during the week . I will be asking William to do more work for me at a later date and would recommend him to anyone looking for plastering to be done .

    Repair water damage to ceilings and walls.

    Had to wait a while before my roof was repaired, but after getting back in touch with William I arranged to get this work done. William was very helpful and friendly, and he did a great job. He had to come out a couple of times to finish the job, but nothing was a problem for him and he always turned up when he said he would. Very happy, thanks.

    plaster bedroom ceiling remove artex from ceiling

    William, arrived on time worked well and left room tidy on finishing. Polite and professional. Would have no hesitation in recommending him .

    After agreeing date William turned up smack on and completed work much to my satisfaction and cleaned up afterwards. Am extremely happy with this company and would recommend same to anyone. P. Yates

    Painting two bedrooms

    Finish plaster arch and two small walls

    What can i say. Put a job up and had 3 responses William was one and came out to the property to check over the work needed after seeing my job and photos online, he was early in turning up (i must mention was also very understanding that he came out on the Sunday to look but i was stuck in a field with no phone and had completely forgotten yet he still came out a few days later when it suited me to look over the job). He explained what would be done etc and gave a very fair price. Work was completed the next day to a fantastic standard. (After white washing the wall i have found no flaws at all in the plaster) the arch looks fantastic and very very pleased. He is very pleasant and well mannered and cleaned up with no trace that he was there (apart from my now beautiful walls and finished off arch) . Would recommend William in a heartbeat and have already enquired about another job. Snap him up while you can. (I wish ALL workmen were like William!!!!)
