Review left on 2 Aug 2018Rating: 5 out of 5Felt, batten and tile single storey outbuildingPauls approach to the job was more professional than other quotes and competitive on price. He wanted to take a week over it where others said they could do it in 2 days, which for me was a good thing. It included fitting four Velux Windows so I was pleased that he didn't plan to rush it. In the event the job stretched out a bit because his labourer kept disappearing. Happily I wasn't in a rush.Review from clive_sheppard, Highbridge clive_sheppard, Highbridge

Review left on 7 Jun 2018Rating: 1 out of 5Repair/re-roofMy recommendation is to steer clear of this guy. He took a deposit that was close to 50% to cover the scaffolding and material costs He stripped, felt and battened the roof in the first couple of days and I thought things were going well but then by the end of the first week he was already doing short days, 3 weeks ate the roof was still only felted and battened, rain poured into the upstairs landing which he seemed to think was perfectly normal/acceptable and he wasn't turning up. The scaffolder popped in to see if the job was finished and was shocked at how the scaffold had been loaded out. It was really dangerous; leaning away from the house with the weight.Across the back where is rested on a single storey roof, it damaged that roof and was so heavily loaded that it actually broke the planks he had stacked the slates on as well as the one the scaffold was rested on. I sacked him and have since found out that he spent my deposit on 'other things' and didn't pay the scaffolders. The materials and labour barely come to half the deposit amount and when I asked for the used part back he refused. And of course he has whipped away the lead and cashed it in Seriously people. If you want to get ripped off use this guyAnswer from tradesperson:
I’ll try to talk to you but you wouldn’t answer my calls and was never home, I spoke to your son in law and he was happy with the work i carried out, on a Sunday when I was a way with the family it rained heavily and water came in but as anyone knows that if a roof has been stripped they would know that the roof wasn’t 100% watertight, I’m no Scaffolder’s so I didn’t know it wasn’t up right and didn’t break any tiles because the scaffolding was heavy I’ve sent you the messages from the Scaffolder’s saying he broken 7 tiles when he put it up, i can’t follow Scaffolder’s round to make sure they do the job right and you forgot to say I replace the tiles they broke I think you need to show the reports you got from the scaffolding firm, you had a roofing company out (Les fear) and he told you without the scaffolding cost the work and martial would be around £4,000 and that was the deposit you paid, so as saying I spent it on over things is wrong unless you are saying the over firm don’t know how to do his job, I’ll spoken to your son in law and told him about half team and will be away because I’ve got children. I am going to go court and clear my firm because you didn’t work with me at all wouldn’t let me get my tools and didn’t let me finish my contract out and so but when I do a new roof I renewed all off it not only half so yes I did renewed the lead, and you told the over firms you ran out off money.
