Robert easily gave us the best estimate out of four roofers, arrived on time four days later as arranged, and quickly got on top of our job repointing and tidying up the chimney on a semi which was shedding chunks of tile from its rim. It had cracked pointing and loose flashing as well. (He also replaced a couple of cracked roof tiles, not visible from the ground, so not on the estimate.) He had to do less work than anticipated on repointing the corner hip tiles so he reduced the bill accordingly. This was honest and much appreciated.
