Leaving negative feedback is always a last resort as there can be extenuating circumstances for cancelled appointments. A very strange experience using Rickie. Started off with good dialogue and even came about he'd fitted outdoor taps previously which made us relaxed about using him. Arranged to come and quote, which he did on time. The price was approved and he arrived as agreed to start the job. After completing what he wrongfully thought was all of the work he sent me his bank details while I was at work (I had not seen his work). I naively transferred the agreed amount based on the trust built from his previous work. Once I got home it was obvious he had not completed all of the work. I have put this down to a misunderstanding between myself, my wife and Rickie. After a quick call, he agreed to return the very next day as the work needed to be completed to allow other trades to crack on. This is where it all goes very strange with no real explanation. After taking the afternoon off, Rickie no-showed. I then used multiple forms of communication to contact him, calls, texts, messages (even using my wife's phone) to no avail. After being paid an ample sum for less work than we originally agreed, Rickie has taken the route of completely ghosting me and my wife, which we find very strange as all communications have been amicable in the attempt to resolve and complete the work. By ghosting us Rickie has caused undue stress, unnecessary delays and extra costs to ongoing work.
