    Slow ongoing leak in bathroom pipework (shower)

    Anthony and his team at 'Decorum Property Maintenance' provided a first class service!!!. They were able to trace the leak quickly and repair it but more importantly they was able to put right the long standing damage which the leak had caused (...it was this aspect of the work which other tradesmen had run from!!). There was minimal disruption in my busy home, and further to this, Anthony's extensive knowledge meant he was able to further reduce costs for me, without compromising the quality of the work or finish. Anthony and his team delivered a friendly, prompt service, with great communication throughout!! I would highly recommend 'Decorum Property Maintenance'

    New Bathroom Installation

    Anthony and his son James have just completed a complete bathroom refurbishment for us and cannot recommend them highly enough. Anthony went out of his way to visit the property quickly to provide us with an estimate, and also gave us advice on how to cut costs - as we explained we didn't have an ceiling-less budget. They worked really hard, left the house clean and tidy at the end of each day and after three days they had removed the old bathroom and replaced an entire suite, painted, tiled the floor and walls, installed the shower and extractor fan. They happily helped me put together some wall units which they then put up for me and went to extra efforts to ensure a water pressure problem in the loft was rectified. They were really nice and friendly and my neighbour was so impressed with their work she has just commissioned them to do a job which they start today. And they don't just do bathrooms, so you should think about using them for anything related to home improvement. They also fixed a lighting / wiring issue that I had in return for coffee and sausage sandwiches! I cannot rate them highly enough and suggest you look no further than here for a brilliant team who will make your house look great without charging you completely ridiculous prices.     Flushing out of waste water pipes

    While my job was not as big as first thought, it was still done quickly and with a minimum of fuss at a time of my convenience. I have no complaints and would use Decorum again as my "go to" plumber.

    Fixing a kitchen tap in Blackheath
    I would say positive in terms of his being prompt/friendly on the day and the work being done well and as discussed and for a fair price. A slight issue after the job was done (resolved - hence the positive rating) in that the invoice contained VAT which I did not think it would as I had carefully checked the detailed T and Cs and profile and no VAT was mentioned in correspondence so I thought the business was not one registered for VAT. I politely mentioned this when the invoice came through and initially I was told I was being "unreasonable" with a suggestion I was somehow trying to avoid VAT (when of course it is quite possible that a business is below the VAT threshold and therefore none is due). In the end my boyfriend called him and explained again and he agreed to waive the VAT; he also said he would check and amend his profile to make it clear that the business was registered for VAT. So overall that error of communication was resolved, and the job was done well, but there was a little bit of the process that was unpleasant so I would recommend getting that clear at the start/for the profile to be amended.

    Wobbly (Loosening) Kitchen Tap Needs Tightening

    Today he was supposed to come to the flat at 9 which he had agreed. No sign of him at 9 o'clock in front of the flat. I was waiting for him in the rain. I texted him to let him know that he should see me in front of the flat when he gets there. His reply was 'What time did we say?' As it turned out, he forgot to put it in the diary therefore missed the appointment completely. In his defence, he still proposed to come at 11:30 but said he was stuck in traffic. I took the day off especially for him to carry out the work. I specified what I wanted done to help him know in advance what he'll need. He texted me regarding the splash back he had sourced for me but concluded it was not suitable so he suggested he would do it some time the following week. I asked him whether he meant re-scheduling the whole job or just doing the splash back another time. His reply:its regrettable that this has happened today but don't like your tone therefore no longer want to work for you and so I am turning around and returning to my earlier customer.' As a customer, I was dutiful about the appointment time, waited for him in the rain from 8:50, took the day off work as it is a flat I let so I needed to stay in the flat whilst the work is carried out. He and his company are so disgraceful and I cannot believe that Mybuilder.com has such a handyman registered. But I guess if you want to take your chance, go ahead. I certainly would not recommend him at all.

    Answer from tradesperson:

    This is very regrettable... There was obviously a breakdown in communication with regards to appointment time as I had it down for 5pm. I apologized several times to the client. I did my best to attend the job before lunch time and I was on my way. Keeping in contact with the client with regards to materials required. Sadly the customer who lives two mins from the let property was becoming a little forcefull bordering on rude. I therefore refused to carry out the work. Which is my right to do so....

    wc leakage
    Very friendly and professional. Being the first builder responding to my posted job, they are also the first one among the shortlisted who made contact with me and made appointment in no time. Got the work done swiftly and charged reasonably. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a good plumber.
