So originally no one was home and I was told the leak was around the chimney stack. Once I was on the main roof I could see there was flash band all around the chimney stack that was peeling away and looked in need of repair. I took a picture and recorded a video and sent it to the client. I sent a quote for what I thought needed to be done as I had not been in the property as no one was there and I had just been told on the phone the position of the leak. I sent a quotation and straight away the client wanted to knock money off which I was happy to help with. The deposit that I asked for was to buy materials and secure the customers booking, he paid £50 short than asked for on the agreed quotation but no problem. I carried out the works on the day we agreed and I sent photos of the works completed which the customer was happy with and paid me in full via bank transfer. Customer called 3/4 weeks later to report a leak.Once I attended the customer said the leak is the same leak. Once checked it was not affecting the top floor but the floor below. After further investigation it was the flaunching on the top of the chimney that needed redoing. The customer said that I diagnosed the leak wrong and I should do the works for free I agreed to only charge £40 as a good will gesture. After this I fell ill for 2 weeks and could not attend and once I got back to work I was a week behind and the customer was not happy he was not first in-line and unhappy I wasnt going to do for free
