First class job, Allan called to give us a quote exactly when he said he would, and 48 hours later the job was done. Possibly the best skim finish we’ve had from a plasterer, clean and tidy too. We’ll be asking him to do some more work in the new year, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend..

Fantastic lads , excellent job boarding my ceiling, plastering ceiling and walls, friendly and professional.Took the time to prepare, covering all surfaces with plastic , and cleaned up afterwards. Would definitely highly recommend these lads .

I cannot recommend Allan highly enough. The service from start to finish was excellent. He was very supportive and even jumped in to help with plastering a whole ceiling that we have not initially agreed upon. In addition, he is very punctual always showing up on agreed time. He managed to finish plastering almost the whole house as planned and with perfection (as other trades working in out house really applauded what they see of the plastered walls and ceiling). A great experience!

If anybody is thinking of using Alan Howard I’d seriously think again. In February Alan agreed to come and take a look at a job for us and we agreed a price of £1000. After promising to come and letting us down he eventually turned up in March to do the job. He called me to tell me that the power had gone off and that it was nothing that he had done. After I made him remove the plasterboard again it was evident he’d cut through a ring mains cable. This was repaired at our cost. He was left to finish the job. A few weeks later, it was evident that the damp was coming through despite him promising that it would not, and that if there were any problems he would sort it. He has promised 5 times to come, giving dates and times and hasn’t bothered to show up or call. I have travelled from Newcastle especially to Spennymoor to let him in and he again did not show or answer his phone. We have asked for a refund and he has declined it. I wish I could attach pictures to show the horrific woodwork and the shoddy plastering. Also, the reply I received today that said “I have better things to do than answer the *** phone to you” AVOID at ALL costs and go with someone who is not a conman who uses every excuse and lie known to man.

This man takes perfection to another level. Very friendly ,efficient ,left our room very clean. I have been in the building trade 50 years his work is first class,would not hesitate to recommend him. If you want a plasterer Alan is your man.
