Damp on bay window and chimney breast in kitchen
(Updated on 9 Aug 2017)I noticed the next morning that a patch on chimney breast had been missed, contacted Mark and sent a picture. I was told that it wasn't there when he did the work. Just appeared over night?? Did not want to fix the patch without me paying out for him to do it. Totally disgusted at that. Very poor customer service not wanting to sort it out with wanting more money. Initial work seems fine. Would not recommend in case of any problems.
Answer from tradesperson:
I undertook work to 3 small areas of damp at a very competitive price. On completion of the work I asked the customer if they were satisfied with the work and all areas of damp had been rectified, to which they agreed. The customer contacted me the following day to advise there was a separate small area of damp higher on wall; I offered to come out and rectify for £60. £60 would not normally cover any amount of damp work but I offered this price as a goodwill gesture. (no readings in this area when initially surveyed). The customer was unhappy with my suggestion so I offered to rectify at no cost when I came to undertake an additional plastering job. I am very customer focused and feel this solution was very fair but heard no reply.
