Answer from tradesperson:
In relation to the above problem I have been in contact constantly with the homeowner to rectify this problem. What isn't mentioned above is that the source of the damp is coming from behind an electrical consumer unit, which as being a fixed cupboard installation was impossible to inject or tank behind, which the customer is aware of. After a number of emails I agreed that if the homeowner was able to have the consumer unit removed by a qualified electrician I would treat this area at no extra charge, for either materials or labour. (The customer has had no problems with the additional 20 square metres of damp proofing work I rectified but again there is no mention of this.) I feel this response was entirely fair and do not honestly see what further action I could take. Since making this aware to the client I received no further communication by either telephone or email. (What also isn't mentioned above is that I had to contact the homeowner after the work was completed as they 'forgot' to pay me.) At the end of the day I tried my best to rectify the situation very fairly and can do no more than that.
