I hired Scott to build two bathrooms, fit a kitchen, redecorate and damp proof a room. I was left without heating, running water, a method of cooking or a bathroom for over 6 months forcing me to sleep in my car or at friends houses. He would not walk away from the job and I knew if I fired him I would be in breach of contract for which he could take me to court and I was stuck. Occasionally he would get people in to do odd bits here and there, the plasterer he employed lost the key to my house, when I asked for it back I was told that he must be back in prison. He blamed the roof for the reason he could not do work but the roofer came within 4 days to put the issue right. The neighbours witnessed his subcontractors filling the garden with waste from their own vans, it took 3 large skips to remove and there were bags of human waste. He did not pay the subcontractors, they then threatened me with legal action but of course I had no contract with them, I feel sorry for them as they weren’t paid. Scott was paid for work he did not do. It cost me a lot of money to put the work right that some of his contractors didn’t do correctly and even more money to finish the job after he eventually said he wasn’t doing any more work. The stress was unbelievable and afterwards I tried to ask him how he could do that to a single female to which I received abuse. It has taken me months to write this as I am scared that he knew where I lived. Now I have moved and feel safer.

I called Scott about some damp/rotten timber I had in my living room floor. Scott and his team were professional, friendly and completed the works in a timely manner.
