Nigel did two jobs for me. Damp proof course in living room and insulation and plaster boards in bedroom. I am more than happy with the outcome. Nigel’s work is meticulous, he is knowledgeable and trustworthy and I would highly recommend. AVOID. Nigel was aggressive, pushy, and even when I told him I had reservations about the work he had done, he promised to come back and fix it if I was not satisfied, and he has been blanking my messages ever since. The rising dump has come back almost immediately: The damp plaster has bubbled and it looks as bad as it did before he started the work. He told me that if I left a bad review, he would simply reply to it to say that I had used the wrong paint (which I didn't I followed the exact steps I was given). He gave me a £50 discount on my £2000 job, and came back to do some light sanding to cover up a patch where I knew he'd not done any of the work. That patch is now an enormous patch of damp that is coming through and I'm back to square one. Nigel was the cheapest quote that I received, and I got what I paid for; shoddy and unprofessional.Answer from tradesperson:
This job was finished a year ago, all new floor joists and tounge and groove flooring and new skirting boards, a bit of the plaster we did actually cracked and i went back and rubbed it down so no reason to get 1 star, had no contact from the customer since the job was finished,??????? The customer has made it out that she paid £2000, for damp work which is not true, the majority was for the new floor, As you can see the bubbling paint is above the new plaster where we did the bit of damp work.

Answer from tradesperson:
The job was completed 5 years ago, there was a lack of communication from both parties so i presumed all was ok until i recieved this review today, 19.04.2026. I have contacted the customer and arranged to visit today 20.04.2026, the work is guaranteed so any issues will be dealt with. Now and again these things happen but are dealt with, As you can see i have over 320, 5 star reviews.
