Excellent - advised me about which windows were most appropriate- took my limited budget into consideration, and what was right for the room. Turned up when they said they would and completed the job to a high standard. Would definitely hire again!

We originally employed Russell to put in some Velux windows and a partition wall in our loft space, but eventually got him and his team to do all the plumbing, plastering and electric work too. The original quote was good - and he kept to it. We were then given separate prices for all the extra bits we requested or changed as work went on. Where a decision needed to be made, we were presented with the options - previous builders have just gone ahead and done the wrong thing. The work was done to a good standard, and some of the suggestions Russell made really helped us to make the best use of the space we had. We weren't expecting (or paying for) a high-spec finish, but are really pleased with what we got for the price we paid, and any rough edges will be cleared up when we decorate. It did get very messy - but we wanted him to finish the job quickly rather than spend time tidying up every night… Very happy with the overall result and would definitely use Russell again.

Very happy and impressed with quality of work! Couldn't have expected or asked for better. Very friendly workers who are also extremely efficient and clearly full of knowledge and skills in the trades they offer. Would recommend MTR to all!

The work carried out was the converting of an attic roof space into liveable accommodation. MTR Lofts (Russel Simmons) not only worked with us on the design and structural aspects through planning, but dealt with the project professionally and to a defined standard. No problem was too difficult and they constantly adapted to changing weather and other conditions. The job was completed on budget and within the defined time span. Strengths: Positive and reliable, completes the job to building design standards, adaptability to a changing environment, on budget, on time! Would I use him again...Most definitely!!

A smallish job done at the end of a days work elsewhere but they never rushed or gave the impression of wanting to do it quickly regardless of the late hour. Some of the tiles were tricky to reach but they managed them all. A good price and they even cleared moss from roof and the guttering for no extra charge. Will use Russell and MTR lofts again and would recommend them to others.

Russell arrived on time and got to work right away. It's just gone lunch time, the job is finished and the roof looks lots better. He tidied everything up and left the area as he found it. Also he offered to take away some junk we had lying around which wouldn't fit in our car.

Russell carried out some work on our Dormer extension, he popped round a few times in the planning stages to go through any questions with us and upon acheiving planning permission started work for us within a few weeks. He always turned up as arranged and on time and worked hard each day even when the weather was quite honestly horrid. We had a small problem with the route for our soil pipe which delayed completion but he helped us find the easiest way to remedy this and gave us the time to make our decision. The end finish was lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Our only slight criticsm would be that they were a little untidy during the work but they did clear up to a good standard at the end, Russell is always approachable and easy to deal with and overall we would recommend him without hesitation. I had one tile that had slipped lose and of course it was at the most inaccessible part of the roof! Russell called on a Sunday, fixed the tile and painted the facias for me and all at a reasonable price. They cleaned up so well after they had finished that you wouldn't have known you had workmen in. Happy to reccommend Russell to anyone.
