I hired Marlon to do an EICR, date and time arranged and agreed for 3 days after. I had stressed to him that it needed to be done by that day as new tenants were moving in the following day. As stated in my job post the contractor would have to collect the keys from the estate agents and I confirmed that with Marlon and he said that wasn’t a problem. I even called and then texted him the evening before to confirm that he was still able to do it at the arranged time the next day . He text back to say yes he would be there to do it. However Marlon didn’t show up. I called him and texted him a few times but he did not reply to any of these . As I needed the job to be done that day , I texted him to let him know that I would be cancelling the job with him and find someone else on short notice . Not sure why he took on the job if he couldn’t do it and why there was no communication from him to let me know he wasn’t going to turn up. He proved to be extremely unreliable and very uncommunicative.

Marlon is a top bloke, got the job done quickly and on budget, left everything tidy - would definitely use him again. For us he put in a new fuse board and completed our Electrical Installation Condition Report.

Affordable price and did an excellent job with in short time.

Unfortunately, Marlon did not end up getting the job. This was due to him not turning up, as arranged, the first time. I received a very apologetic text, not even a phone call, saying an emergency had come up. I’m fully aware that these things do happen, but, I felt that as it was a call out, that I could have been advised, rather than the no-show. Against my better judgement, I agreed for the work to be done this morning at 1000. 1000 came and went and I received two phone calls just before 1100. I was unable to take these, at the time, no messages were left. There has been no further communication from either of us. I subsequently hired someone else and the work was completed, very satisfactorily, this afternoon. Quite disappointing really, but, there you go...

Despite some confusion at the beginning of the job due to communication issues, Marlon completed the EICR in good time, especially as I needed it done as soon as possible. He was personable and knowledgeable and tidy. I would think to use him again if and when needed.

Marlon came at short notice to remediate a EICR report with C2 remediation items from a different supplier. He read through the report before coming and thoroughly prepared with the items required for remediation before coming. He replace the consumer unit and installed gas bonding which were requirements to pass the electrical assessment. At the same time he fixed a faulty socket which had been a pre-existing issue. I'm happy that I went with Marlon and satisfied with the work done. In terms of service, Marlon was very reliable, amiable and pleasant to deal with. Recommended.

I am happy with the work, the price was reasonable and was completed in a reasonable time.

I thought they were brilliant. Marlon was straight with me, crucially important when the customer is not present. He returned a couple times because doing an EICR survey sometimes brings up a multitude of issues. He fixed all of the essential ones and passed the report. Good value and just great service. I hope to use him again very soon, if he will have me. :) Richard B
