Ken responded and came to inspect my leaking old brick cottage chimney and quickly determined that the reason why rainwater was trickling out of the old hearth in the sitting room and soaking into the carpet was the cracks in the old brickwork of the chimney, that was soaking up rain like a sponge. After the scaffold was up they came to quantify materials needed and I asked them to check out another damp patch nearby at gutter level which was soon found to be a leaking lead roof valley. Ken quoted for that repair too and replaced the lead valley after removing the chimney, all in one job. The team invited me up to inspect the job and explain the repair & provided a video of the completed solution. So although it turned into a slightly larger job than expected it was a timely diagnosis and repair that was done promptly, efficiently and neatly in good time for a fair price.
