However, the damp patches on the inside wall have since grown in size and I cannot ascertain whether a Damp Proof Course was installed as requested and quoted for outside. The quoted area was 10m x 2m and the area dealt with was 11m x 1m, missing off the main area of damage - something I was unable to check as work was mainly carried out whilst I was at work. As of time of writing I have not received certification of the work carried out. I do not blame Steve for this, it is mainly down to my lack of clarity and oversight of the job.Answer from tradesperson:
Hi Peter, I'm am very sorry that this has happened. However, you have not, at all tried to contact me regarding these issues. If you of called or messaged me, I would have come out to rectify or advise what else needs doing. You also say you was unable to check the wall? I was there Saturday and grinded the section out ready to be pointed for Sunday. If I recall, you were at home, alday on the Saturday with your children, you even brought me 2 cups of tea!! One leaving site, I advise you that the grinded out area was done and I'm pointing up the area the next day. I do believe you had plenty of time to talk to me about this, if you want any more grinding out. Regarding clarity of the work certificate, I sent over you the invoice as work carried out per quote. I do believe you did have enough time to check the work before you transfered my the monies for completion of the job, if you were not happy, I do believe you would have got me back and rectifyed the work. Did not try to baffle us and told us exactly what needed to be done. The work is now finished to a great standard and looks even better than we imagined, Steve was very tidy and cleaned up after him and took away all the rubbish and left the place almost dust free 😊 Approachable family man who always answered any queries we had.
