James was outstanding and we're delighted with his work. He fitted four doors for us including a tricky one with hidden SOSS hinges, and did a superb job. In particular: - The quality of his carpentry is very good, with all the doors and ironmongery fitting very well - he is clearly highly skilled and takes pride in a job being done well. - He is exceptionally polite and friendly, and was even happy to help and offer advice with another small carpentry job I was trying to do DIY - His pricing was very good value - He also took great care - excellent communications, he arrived exactly at the time he said both days, and left the house spotless when he finished. We have now asked James to look at doing some other work in our house - fitted alcove units, fitted wardrobes, repairing stairs, fitting new skirting boards /architraves - and have little doubt he'd do an excellent job at those too. Thanks again for a great job! Tom

James Ryle did a good job in fixing the loft ladder back into place.

James was a lifesaver, he was able to come at short notice to fix some issues with the risers on some stairs. He arrived on time with everything needed for the job and paid close attention to detail to make sure things were done properly. I can highly recommend this tradesman and he's a very nice chap too, who is easy to talk to.

James did a superb job of fitting a home office in my spare bedroom including bespoke wall shelving, a L-shaped desk, cupboard, and under-desk drawer/filiing cabinet, all hand-made in veneered oak. The result is absolutely stunning and with great attention to detail such as a grill in the desk for heat to escape from an underlying radiator, and a cable solution beneath and in the desk. Everything was done promptly and with a smile, too! Can highly recommend.

James is a Carpentry superhero. His customer service, attention to detail and craftsmanship are unrivalled. He really listened to my ideas and created something even better than imagined. He made a pair of stunning built in alcove shelves/cupboards for either side of my chimney breast which have transformed my home. I have already had compliments on them and I cannot stop walking back into the room to look at them! Additional to the great craftsmanship, James is a friendly, polite, considerate lovely human who is an absolute pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for excellent carpentry and an all round fantastic experience. Top marks! In fact, I liked his work so much that I have already asked him about another project. Get in there fast as he is very popular, all due to word of mouth and happy customers spreading the word I am sure!

Unfortunately we wanted to go ahead with the work but was never given a solid date nor did he tell us he couldn’t do the work/to find someone else. Quoted early in the year and it’s now October! Got fed up and found someone new. It felt as though we were purposely left hanging until something better/higher paid came along. Seemed like a nice guy though.

James did an amazing job with our bespoke hallway unit with storage cupboards. He was able to give us some very good advice and we ended up having exactly what we were expecting. If we ever have other carpentry work to do we I’ll definitely work again with James.

James did a great job, very pleased with my new units and shelves. James was incredibly professional and left the place immaculate. I would certainly recommend!

James is lovely, he is very conscientious, thorough and diligent. We are very happy with the wardrobes and he is very competitive on price. We will likely hire him back for additional joinery work now we’ve found a good guy!
