    Install insulation in loft
    Jamie and his sons did a great job at our loft clearing out all the old mess and installed insulation as well as partial boarding. Thoroughly professional, courteous and communication was excellent and clarified all our queries. Can't recommend them enough

    Loft insulation and boarding
    Jamie and his two sons did a fantastic job insulating and boarding my loft, I can’t wait to be warm this winter. Turned up on time, were really friendly and knowledgeable, the price was what I was quoted and they were very respectful. Would recommend them to anyone who asked! Thanks again 😊

    loft boards and insulation
    We hired The Lakes to complete a full loft insulation, partial loft boarding and to add a water proof membrane to the loft roof. We found the Lakes to be friendly, professional, prompt and clear with responses. Their quotes were detailed, highlighting things in and out of scope and timelines. They also gave progress updates as they worked. The added bonus for us was that we found their pricing to be reasonable and they also highlighted a few other things to be wary of in our home that were problems we had not noticed. Work was carried out promptly and all mess was cleared at the end of both visits. Its honestly not often that you meet trustworthy and reliable trades folk and would hire them back without question. Thank you again and look forward to you coming back to help with insulation under our hallway.

    Insulation Removal and Replacement - Detached Bungalow Loft
    From start to finish, my experience with Jamie and his sons was nothing short of exceptional. They insulated and boarded my loft, transforming it into a clean, accessible storage space.My property was treated with utmost respect, leaving it as tidy as they found it. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jamie and his sons for any loft improvement projects.

    Loft insulation
    This insulation expert is a liar and a fraud. After the payment made he left all rubbish bin bags at front of the house, in the absence of any persons in the house. It’s strange how he managed all 5 stars.

    Answer from tradesperson:

    Firstly we are not frauds or liars! 1. All your paperwork stated we would not dispose of your waste. 2. You lied and said the loft was empty apart from a box or 2, loft was full of junk which took us 2.5 hours to clear and bag up, none of which you were charged for. 3. You also lied about sorting out a parking permit and said you had done it, I then incurred a parking fine because you forgot. Which you then said wasn’t your problem. 4. We went above and beyond we didn’t have to clean your loft out and hoover it all for free when you lied that it was empty, but we did anyway, and we certainly then were not going to be charged to dispose of your waste (the equivalent of a full 4 yard skip) for free, no where on your quote or final invoice did it state we would dispose of anything we make this clear before we begin any job. We also installed 400mm insulation in the loft and only charged you for 300mm. LEGALLY YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DISPOSE OF OTHERS WASTE WITHOUT A LICENSE!!

    Install raised floor and new insulation in loft space
    From first contact to completion of the job, Jamie, Callum and Josh were outstanding! We had an idea of what we wanted doing in our loft and, after a site visit, we were advised that everything we wanted was achievable. The start date offered and price quoted were good for us, so we went for it. Just over a week later, the work was complete and what a difference it has made to our previously dark and dingy loft space. We now have a massive floor area that can be used for storage that is accessible through an enlarged loft hatch by a secure and stable wooden ladder. Lighting has been installed and the old insulation removed and new installation installed to a depth of 270mm under the floor and 300mm out to the eaves in the "unusable" space. The vacuum tops to the soil pipes are easy to get at, the extractor fan trunks are secure and out of the way and the few cables that are up there are now out of sight. It's a pleasure to go up there!!!

    Loft/roof checking to improve insulation
    Jamie and his sons are top professional in putting in new installation and board to my loft. The whole job was also done neat and tidy. Would definite recommend.
