Illingworth Building Services reviews (71)

Andrew and his team were amazing and I couldn't recommend him enough. We had 2 chimneys removed and made good throughout the house, everything was done on time, to a high quality and for a very reasonable rate which didn't suddenly balloon as so many can. He has an amazing team, each one of them highly personably, respectful and conscientious; it's obvious that they work well together and you benefit from it through good communication and rapport. I'd have no hesitation in using Andrew again and am already planning our next job - thank you!!!

Andrew and his team completed a very good job with a reasonable price tag. He was always on hand to talk anything through and was on time and completed the job in the time frame suggested.

We hired Andrew to create three large structural openings in the back wall of our extension in preparation for new windows and doors, and could not recommend him and his team highly enough. Andrew, Darren, Joe and Brad were lovely guys to have around our home. So friendly, tidy and considerate, and the work they did was of the highest standard. The buildings control inspector from the local council even commented on what a great job they had done! They all took the time to explain what work they were doing at each step of the project, and made sure we were happy with everything. Such a great experience. Reasonably priced, reliable and super friendly builders who do top notch work. You couldn’t ask for more.

The work carried out was the removal of a load bearing wall and all 4 chimney breasts in our house. Andrew and his team were very prompt in every aspect from start to finish. They turned up on time every day to start the work and gave me an overview everyday to let me know what they would be doing. He has always answered the phone for any further advise required and I would not consider other builders for future work. The work was completed to a very high standard and there isn't anything I could fault about my experience with them. It is obvious that they are extremely knowledable about building work and other major projects that they have completed.

Quick and efficient from quote to completion. Andy and his team removed an internal load bearing wall for us. They hit the spot for time, quality and cost. Highly recommended

I had a supporting pillar removed from the centre of my kitchen. Two 6 meter RSJ's where installed successfully and plastered . It has transformed my kitchen space. A good team to have on site.

Andy, Darren and Joe completed all the work that was requested in good time and at a fair price. Very helpful with advice and guidance with the process of removing a structural wall. Before work was started Andy was happy to arrange a couple of visits to give an accurate quote and agree all works.

Andrew and his guys arrived bang on time, and the job they did has come out better than I hoped. I’m very happy with it and can highly recommend them.

We hired Illingworth Building Services to undertake a knock through of our kitchen and dining room involving the insertion of a steel beam. From the first quotation visit Andrew and his team could not have been more helpful with their support and advice and the price was competitive and better then other quotes that we have received. Due to corona virus lockdown the work had to be put on hold but Andrew kept in touch with us to keep us in the loop of the situation. Once the work started they made excellent progress and when we decided that due to the state of the underlying ceiling we would like that replaced at the same time despite it not being part of the original plan they removed and replaced it including plastering for again a competitive price and fitted this in the original timescale given. Nothing seems too much trouble. Andrew and the Team also advised us on the best option for our floor and we have hired them again to come back and do this. We would not hesitate to use Illingsworth Building Services again and would highly recommend them for anyone looking for a Builder. Our new kitchen space looks stunning.

The team did an excellent job. We’re trustworthy, polite and hard working. They ensured the job was done to a high spec and didn’t cut corners. Very pleased with final result
