    Damp concrete floor
    Very professional and courteous. Turned up slightly early which was not a problem as we were in and he would of waited if we were not ready for him.Checked whole house. Problem turned out to be condensation issues, he advised us to fit expel-airs in bathroom and kitchen. Refused any payment as he said he hadn’t done any work yet he came all the way to Hornsea. I have had issues with a previous builder (not hired through MyBuilder unfortunately) and Julian has restored my faith that you can get a thorough professional job. I will always use MyBuilderfrom now on due to Julian’s professional attitude. Extremely efficient.

    Damp in conservatory - mushroom/fungi growing
    Julian was punctual and very quickly determined that job was something that he could not resolve and that it required a builder to look for a structural issue. He did not waste any time or try to offer unnecessary remedies. I will certainly use him again, should the need arise.

    Damp patches in living room
    Originally i gave Julian a good feedback after he done a good job plastering my walls, i have changed it now due to the fact that a few months later the damp has come through the new plastering that was done, Julian did suggest installing a heat unit in loft for £820 to help with damp, i have had 2 independent builders to look at the walls and both said that a heat unit would not solve the problem, Being a paying customer who is not happy with the outcome, surely a builder should revisit the property to inspect the damage, i asked Julian a few times to come to my house to look, he wouldn't come, all he would say is i need to fit in a heat unit, It's unfortunate that i have to write this review, and unfortunately i will not use Julian again.

    Answer from tradesperson:

    Davey you have a big condensation problem which caused plaster damage. You called us to fix the plaster. We did this. I told you that without rectifying the cause of the problem ie the condensation, the problem would quickly return. Our proven cure for condensation was offered but you declined. By the way it isn’t called a heat unit it is a positive input ventilation unit or PIV. I advised you that the cost to replastering again would be greater than the cost of installation of the PIV. You still declined. Now you have the condensation dampness back you are blaming ourselves. We are specialist in our field with 35 years experience in dampness in homes. Therefore getting in other non specialist trades in to give verdict on your problem is not the answer as they are merely going to disagree in order to get business themselves. I consider your comments to be misleading and grossly inaccurate and have been included only to in some way harm our business.

    Damp and mould on internal wall under bay window
    Very knowledgeable and professional. Assessed the job quickly and provided a good remedy at a fair price. Very happy with the service.

    Damp problem in living room
    Julian did an excellent job with minimal disruption. He did the best cleaning up job I have ever seen. I would highly recommend his work and he even made a cover for the hole in the loft . Many thanks Julian

    Damp issue needing investigation and solving.
    Julian is honest, timely and courteous. He clearly has a really strong knowledge and experience of his trade and couldn't have been more accommodating. He saved us a lot of money compared to a previous dodgy damp company that visited to quote. I couldn't recommend him highly enough. I have already shared his details with people who do other trade work for us every now and then. Everyone in the building world should have a Julian in their contact lists. I hope we will never need his services in the future because it will mean we have more damp issues. But if I do, he is now in my phone list. Thank you Julian. Much appreciated.

    Damp walls in kitchen/downstairs bathroom
    Assessed the job promptly and gave appropriate advice, we didn’t feel pressurised but we were happy to proceed. The work was undertaken in good time, well done and was finished and left very clean. Very happy with service.

    Really thorough with the job, happy to explain what the technology was that we needed for the damp and how to remove it!
