Good job! the guys came in and worked hard. They were delayed a bit - caught in slow traffic due to the bad weather (overnight snow etc), but phoned to let me know their new ETA. When they came, they got stuck in to the task and there was a good working atmosphere. Some decisions and workarounds had to be figured out on the day (this was expected and had been discussed with David when he came to assess the job), but the guys were good and communicative and everything was satisfactorily concluded on time.Review from mitchell_90, Glasgow mitchell_90, Glasgow

Review left on 20 Jan 2018Rating: 3 out of 53 way valve a assembly replacement(Updated on 11 Apr 2019)Just wanted to let other people know that the person taking this job doesn't seem to be too knowledgeable, but the heating engineer he sent was a okay. I expected to talk to an expert, but after research I seem to know more about boilers than him. I have been quoted for the job a total of £90. The job was not successful mostly because of my wrong spare part which looked like the original one, could fit in the same position and pipes, but had an extra opening. What I found disturbing is that even though the heating engineer was a Gas Safe Registered, he could not immediately identify the difference; he did eventually after a conversation of 6-8 minutes with his boss (the person who bids for the ads on myBuilder.com). The conclusion was that he went forward and installed the wrong part, and got charged the same amount for an unsuccessful job (as obviously I could not use the boiler after the installation). He did correctly advised me to change the motor, the valve and the wire connecting the motor to the PCB. For this, I appreciate it. I ended up buying a new valve, a new motor, a new pcb wire and molex connectors for the wire to the PCB and installed all these on my own. So the positives: The heating engineer came promptly at the time arranged. The advice for the correct necessary components. Negatives: £90 for an installation that should be aborted immediately. 6-8 minutes out of 50 on the phone. Job was unsuccessful (Boiler did not work after his visit).Answer from tradesperson:
My engineer arrived to fined the customer had tried to fit part that dident look like it was the right part. My engineer called me and explained this to me but also stated it may be a replacement part and that it could be for a couple of different models. My engineer explain this and said that we could order up the right parts with the part no or we could try fitting the part explaining that he would be charged for the work. He agreed to this with my engineer and he tried this for the customer but it dident work. So my engineer now checked things over and explained that we would order all parts and come back and complete the job and he agreed. Engineer left and customer text me to book in return visit saying he had been online and order some parts but wanting me to get one part he could not fined. I told him I would rather order all parts together. But then he told me he had found other parts. Next he text me asking how to wire the boiler parts which I could not tell him as I was not at the job and the engineer was not available at that time. After all he’s not qualified. I then got text couple of days later cancelling return visit saying he done the work himself. The long and short of it is if my engineer is called out for a job the client will be charged and if he let use get the parts in the first place they would have be fitted correct with qualified engineer. Question in my mind now is. how safe is the boiler with unqualified person working on it?

Review left on 9 Jan 2018Rating: 5 out of 5Install & re-locate radiators.I would definitely hire David again - why? THE ESTIMATE - arrived on time, listened carefully to what was required, gave a fair price for the job. THE JOB - arrived on the day/time as agreed, did a good job, tidied up on completion and told me to call if there were any issues. Pleased to say that there are none. This is what I call good old fashioned service, something that is sadly lacking these days. Thanks David.Review from Customer of DJ Property Trades Customer of DJ Property Trades
