We are delighted with the finished job, as I totally appreciate how difficult any flat roof work is,Charles and gang worked great as a team,and what I really liked best was that any ongoing work was explained which mean't you felt you were actively involved in the work,which other builders should maybe take a note of! Anyone considering hiring,are more than welcome to contact me through this site for my honest opinion,I must warn you however,never ever,and I repeat never ever,start listening to Charles' "jokes" or you'll be looking for the nearest high building to jump from!, seriously guys, thanks.

Charles contacted me straight away and was at my door an hour later. Very friendly, helpful and explained that I didn't need new flashing. It simply needed properly sealed which he would do. He even realigned one of my ridges that needed doing at the same time. I will be keeping his number for future and recommending him to anyone. Thank You Charles!

Absolutely brilliant service from start to finish. Charles came out quickly, assessed thoroughly and reassured us that it wasn't a big job to fix. His knowledge and experience were evident from the start. Very competitive quote and was the only person to suggest re using some of the existing serviceable cast iron downpipe. Job was completed exactly when promised and Charles kept in touch throughout to let us know timings etc. Can't rate highly enough and will definitely use for further jobs. Charles is able to cover a lot of different jobs from roofing, building and fireplaces/ chimneys so we will definitely be needing him again. Thanks Charles !

Charlie was great. He came out quickly gave a super competitive quote and then did the job the next week. The quality of his work was very good and he was quick as well. Great guy who I wouldn't hesitate to hire to fix any other roofing problems I have in the future.

Charles has done a fantastic job. He is extremely helpful, thorough and professional. He arrived exactly when he said he would for the quote and completed the job within the agreed timescales. Charles and Tom worked tirelessly to get the job completed with the minimum of disruption. The price was very reasonable.

Charlie came and looked at the job. Gave me a quote there and there, his quote was half the price than other quotes. He then completed job a week later, true to his word. I would recommend this company or at least get a quote from him, you will be surprised at the difference. I have got him to quote me for new guttering and he has gave me a fair price for that also. I will post as a new job to see how it compares and post results but if i need my roof repaired again ill be phoning Charlie

Charlie and his team did a great job - demolishing a concrete roofed solid brick shed and removing all rubble off site, cleaning up beautifully afterwards. I can recommend Charlie as reliable, hard working and courteous and would not hesitate to use 1st Base again. Mrs Hutton 21 Feb 2013
