    unjam pvc door and repair or replace lock mechanism.
    Very polite, mild mannered man. Organised and efficient, job quickly and expertly completed at an agreeable price. Happy customer.

    Locked inside the bathroom.
    The Locksmith sent to me was rude and grumpy.

    Repair/replace patio door key and lever lock
    Not good. Jimmied the hard wood patio door to get at the lock, he replaced the lock, which was obsolete, with 2 small cylinder bolts and a lot of plastic packing. Charged me £440. Within an hour of him leaving I could only get one of the bolts to line up to lock and make secure. The other bolt didn't line up and when I went to take the key out the whole lock fell to bits. I got another locksmith to look at it, I felt Carters had done all he could. New locksmith lifted the patio door back onto its runner so it was vertical again and opened/closed smoothly again. He replaced the broken bolt with a more secure bolt and tidied up the plastic packing. He charged me £150 for over 2 hrs work. I've emailed Carter's to ask for some money back for the botched job he did, surprise surprise, no response. I shall alert friends to make sure if they're expecting to be dealing with Check a Trade on Google to make sure they don't asume the first site they're faced with is what they searched for.

    Hi Lynne sorry we have not had a email from you - you could have called which would have came straight through to us where we would have known about this issue this review is the first we have any knowledge of the problem we are sorry this has happened after we spent so much time on the job considering we was there for 5 hours and we charge £75 per hour labour - yes we could come to some agreement on a refund sorry it has left you in this situation

    3 stars for asking for payment once the job was completed - ok that makes sense typical landlord takes off the tenants but never wants to pay out - no praise for the high quality job and service
