Fitzroy responded promptly to my message and came and viewed the job within days. He was polite and warm and gave us a realistic price. He arrived punctually and did a great job. Very happy with his work and very thankful to have a spindle on our staircase fixed!

Fitzroy did a sterling job repairing and replacing the joists and structure work for our hardwood decking steps in our rear garden.

All good. Turned up on time, clear communication, friendly and helpful and most importantly the stair banister looks Really good. Also hired him to install skirting boards in the whole house and they look great too. Would definitely recommend.

Needed to waterproof 2 window sills in my property. He arrived on time, the job did not take long and he mostly tidied up after himself upon completion. The reason for my neutral feedback is this, when I first had fitzroy come and quote me he gave me a price, I asked if I needed to get materials, he told me no. I asked if there would be 2 people he told me no, and I informed him the work would not get done till July, even though I had the quote done in May. When Fitzroy arrived he said he was going to get the materials he needed, then came back with an extra person and told me he had undercut himself because the wood was expensive, this already did not sit well with me because I specifically asked my questions so I knew the cost and price would not be changing. After the work was completed I asked for the invoice, which he seemed put out by, but I advised I would not be paying over £300 pounds in cash for anything until I had someone come and check if the work was sufficient. (This seemed to upset fitzroy who didn't think his work should be checked). The work was satisfactory, however I am told that there are some areas he could have re-sealed. (fitzroy had already said my decorator can do that) but I didn't like his attitude, he kept accusing me of having an ulterior motive, because I was asking the for the invoice and told him I was holding off payment until my checks were done. I think he undercut himself to win the job, and then assumed he could bump the price up.

Fitzroy was polite, tidy, performed accurate work and a nice guy to boot. Arrived at short notice so happy to pay premium.
