We had a new fire door installed that had a weird size so had to be trimmed. Fitzroy also installed a new window sill in the bedroom, a new lock with a handle for the bathroom door and replaced a piece of the skirting board. All done in less than 1,5 days. Excellent work. Down to earth and pleasant to work with. Communication was good. Property was left tidy. We’ll be definitely inviting him again for other jobs in our house. Highly recommended.

I would not recommend. The parquet had been installed without any expansion gaps, a basic installation requirement. This caused the floor to buckle and required costly remedial work. Despite photographic evidence and a professional assessment confirming the fault, Fitzroy refused to acknowledge any responsibility or contribute towards the repair costs. He came back the first time to fix it, but as soon as an area was fixed the other area starter buckling up and he refused any responsibility. To fix the poor installation I had to remove the skirting and re-cut an expansion gap all around the room. In the pictures you'll see both the parquet buckling up and the lack of expansion gap (see the flooring installed touching the walls). As you can read from the reply he keeps insisting there was an expansion gap, review the pics and judge yourself. I paid 000s for this job and I provided: parquet, wood stain, osmo oil which I paid on top of that.

Fitzroy did a great job in fitting new hardwood sills and repairing my French doors. The job was not straight forward but he did not create a fuss and just cracked on and completed the job on time to a good quality. He is a talented carpenter and a trustworthy guy. I will defo use his services again and happy to recommend to others.
