Great work completed by Alan! Arranging a suitable time for the work was easy and Alan and Keri turned up when expected. After thoroughly probing the area around our old chimney breast, he carefully explained how and why it was becoming damp and took time to answer all my questions. The existing ventilation into the flu was enlarged and a second added. Anti-sulphate treatment was then applied to the affected areas and a 'rod' system installed to reinstate the failing damp-proof course. Also, when I mentioned another area nearby where I had some concerns, Alan was happy to look into this too and applied similar treatment for a reasonable additional cost. All work was done with minimal fuss and all mess was cleaned up and removed. Following the work I was sent videos of the work being completed and a 10-year guarantee. I understand that, after treatment like this, it can take up to a year for the damp to dry out so time will tell!

Very efficient, good quality work, good correspondence and clean/tidy. I had 2 vents in my cavity walls that needed sealing up to prevent damp ingress. We had a video call before the job started. He followed that up with a quote detailing what would be done. The quote price was quite expensive, but the quote made the job sound complex, requiring lots of experience and expertise. On the day, there wasn’t that much skill required, and very few materials used - and the job was completed in 3hrs. I challenged the price and got a price reduction. Credit to both for listening to my point of view and making that price reduction. Price aside, the job completed was neat and Alan is clearly good with mortar. He sprayed chemicals to reduce damp ingress and sealed the outside vents (using steep ladders). Both Kerri and Alan were polite, respectful and efficient. I would certainly recommend them. Just watch the price.

Good communication and good administration and good after care. However the actual work was very messy, the builder left big stains on our wooden floor.

I highly recommend AL Damp Proofing if you're having issues with damp in your home. The work was carried out quickly, efficiently and cleanly and I was kept up to date from the initial job booking, right the way through until the work had been fully completed. Extremely pleased and would definitely use them again if needed.

Very quick turn around from putting the job on the website to completing the work. Very professional and lots of in depth details given about the work carried out. Highly recommended.
