I originally advertised for a gardener. A F. Fencing contacted me and I gave them the job to tidy the garden. They did it the same day. I was pleased with that. I also needed a new fence, which they quoted for me. They did the fence the next day which I was pleased with also. They also said they could clean my driveway. This was done for me. Paddy needed to return again in a few days to put another layer of sand over the drive. I waited for a week and no one showed up. It took me hours to put another layer of sand on the drive and sweep it in. I was not pleased about that. Also my windows and car was left with dirty marks from the jet washing of the drive. My over all view is that A F Fencing did a fine job of the garden and the fence, but I was disappointed with them not completing the driveway and leaving my windows dirty even though they did hose them down. Gave Ashley a call at around 8pm and came straightaway to do the garden, transformed the whole front garden and the neighbours for a very good price. Done it within the hour, definitely recommend Ashley for his services

Quoted me based on my description of the job. The concrete posts were not replaced (on his recommendation) which is where all the hard work was, yet he wanted me to still pay for the complete quote. Then he wanted to charge me for the posts that weren’t required. Not sure why he didn’t come out and assess the job beforehand. When I asked him for a breakdown of costs, he claimed he didn’t have receipts. So I ended up calling the merchant to find out how much the materials cost. I realised he was charging me around £200 just to slot some fence panels in which amounted to around half an hours work. I wasn’t happy but paid what he asked. If you’re going to use this guy, make sure he assesses the job beforehand and gives you a written quote
