Job not done properly , on asking to come and check informed me that i had to look for some one else. Please be cautious. --Edited after his comments-- I am disappointed by the contractor's claim that he wasn't welcomed. I personally met him at the gate and allowed him to work undisturbed while I attended to my own tasks. We even offered him tea, which he declined in favor of finishing quickly. Regarding the work: he performed only the bare minimum and did not complete the tasks as requested. Furthermore, I offered him additional payment specifically to fix an issue he caused, which makes his comments even more surprising. The defect didn't 'appear' weeks later; it was present from day one. He claimed it would resolve itself over time, but it never did. It is unprofessional to blame a lack of 'greetings' when the real issue is the poor quality of the work

From the early stage communication through to completion the experience was really good. Kaizen were proactive and very considerate to the neighbours. On finding unexpected details with the existing old house they were good at making suggestions to get around them and were always easy to deal with. The guys on site were polite and friendly and the house looked great on completion. Great finish and handover so would highly recommend.

I'm really pleased that I chose Steven to redo my kitchen. I don't think that I could have chosen a better person. He obviously is a craftsman who takes pride in his work. He was very considerate of our needs. Many other kitchen fitters require that the kitchen is out of use for the fortnight or so that they are refitting the kitchen. Not Steven, for example, the sink was out of use for only one day (the day it was being replaced). I strongly recommend Spear Propeerty Maintenance.

Very disappointing. Job did start well but unfortunately Alex underestimated the time it would take to fit my kitchen and just before the job was due to be finished, he informed me that he had quoted me incorrectly at the start of the job and wanted to charge more. He also started to bring up “extras” where there had been no “extras”. He also damaged my path in the front garden and dented my new oven. Instead of being apologetic and wanting to resolve these issues, he wanted to add extra costs to my invoice, obviously to try and recoup the money he would lose paying for the repairs. There was an attempt to discuss these issues but unsuccessfully as he tried to guilt trip me into paying more. He claimed that he had not included the cost of tiling my kitchen but in the original quote it clearly says that it was only the cost of the tiles themselves that were not included. He also wanted to charge me extra to wallpaper one wall when decorating was clearing included in the price. I have returned from work to find he has walked off my job. I have been left with an unfinished kitchen and lots of issues that I need to now hire someone else to fix. Not to mention the cost of the repair to my path and my brand new oven. 3 weeks and job not still not complete. Unprofessional, unreasonable and very disappointing. A bad and unfair way to treat a very patient and reasonable customer. Alex was clearly out of his depth with this project. Hire with caution.

Svilen saved me during a really bad refurbishment. He shows up before I even get to the house so I have had to leave him a key because I'm always late lol. His work is very clean and precise. He keeps receipts and is very transparent about what he can and cannot do. I initially hired him to finish fitting my kitchen and he ended up fitting all my doors and architraves, turned my ikea wardrobe into a fitted wardrobe, created a door for my utility room, fitted a howdens larder cupboard for my boiler. All in all a stand up guy that God sent at a crazy time. Thank you Svilen!
