We're so happy with the outcome of our flooring. The whole job gets 10/10 from us - Service, Finish, Attention to detail... Craig went above and beyond to help get the right outcome. I was worried that by switching from carpet to flooring we were going to have to bead the skirting boards, but Craigs attention to detail to get the right finish meant he cut the skirting to get the right finish - I know a lot of others wouldn't have gone to this level of detail because it takes a lot of extra work. The room has a completely different feel now and we are going to be using Chase Construction to replace all the carpets for wooden flooring throughout the rest of the house.

David has just completed fitting my kitchen and I’m 100% satisfied. David was the first tradesman to contact me and discuss the job. We agreed on the job description and established a price, dependent upon certain factors. The job had been partially completed and I understand that it’s not an ideal situation for many tradesmen, although David highlighted certain areas of concern regarding the current installation, which he rectified before commencing to install the remainder of the kitchen. I was totally satisfied with the end result. A good communicator, professional, knowledgeable, and obviously takes pride in his work. If you’re looking for a kitchen fitter, I’d happily recommend. It’s a ten from Den.

We had a built in wardrobe which was empty, no shelves or anything. Martin built some new shelves and a hanging rail then put some new doors on it too. He was pleasant and sociable and although he suggested things he made us comfortable that the final decision was ours. The main point for me was that he turned up exactly where he said he will, unlike some other tradesmen. He did such a good job on the wardrobe that we got him to hang a couple of new internal doors and install some locks afterwards. These men have an idea of moulding installation but not to a professional standard. They did my job half-hazardly without professional finishing. Moulding full of gaps and rough eges, they started to paint it without filling or sanding. Moulding unfinished. Walking all in the house on a very cleaned carpet withheavily dirty shoes. Leaving the whole place they walked through very dirty and not proper cleaning after work. Insufficient material and equipment.?unprepared. Many more. Don't pick up a job in a rush , if you picked up a job, you should create time to finish it before scheduling for another. Or pick up a different date to come and finish what you have started. it is as simple as that. You are making me angry and disappointed because you made me feel like my job which i am paying you for, was less important than anyone else's. I was too nice and lenient to have payed you without involving the law.

Unauthorised, unfinished, unprofessional! Nathan came across open and honest, listening to what I required and so we agreed a price and a completion date. As a busy working woman it was important for me to find someone I could trust to leave unsupervised to carry out the work. My first cause for concern was the appearance of two underlings Ryan and apprentice James neither of which I had approved but were in my home carrying out jobs. Resulting in tiles have fallen from the kitchen window. tile trims are hanging down. Skirting boards are not flush against the walls, and work that was paid for remains incomplete. Incredulously disappointed and frustrated I spoke to Nathan who assured me he would return and make good all of the shortcomings and complete the work to a high standard. Three times he has assured me he would return to make good and three times he had provided excuses and has not turned up. Now he is not responding to my communications. Then finally there was also drinking on the job, I returned home one evening to find beer cans in my kitchen and my garden, to find they were drinking on the job throughout the day. Absolutely disgusted. The outfit from Oaks Carpentry can not get recommendation from me unless maybe you need a door hanging. However if you like your work completed to a high standard, with accurate communication and honest tradesmen then Nathan Brett, Ryan and James at Oaks Carpentry are not the 'Tradespeople' to use.
